SPIDER WOMAN

What a charming spider woman!

Homeless but valiant; that is uncommon.

She clutches the egg under her chest

That is her life; full of expectation in the nest.

She hadn't a wink at night

Heedless to nothing, without fright.

Only prayer to hatch her egg

She neither ate nor slept and stood on her criss-cross leg.

Lest she thought her egg won't get warmth

Creatures crept near her, she did not move forth.

She never minds nor hurt them

The spiderwoman meditated with her peridium.

Day and night in the dark corner

Eaten her husband for her children who will come sooner.

Husband or sons the better one?

She knit no net, the silky, sticky snare of everyone

If a prey was caught in the net

The spiderwoman has to give up or let

Her egg or the prey, which is the best

Helpless spiderwoman with the egg under her chest.

Who knew better than the spiderwoman!

Her sons would feed on her like demon.

Much later she knew the bitter truth

Her egg won't hatch and can't see the birth

Did she think of Cesarean to end her plight?

See her sons creeping out all delight.

If it hatch...........they will feed on her

Which one the spiderwoman would prefer?

RAIN,THE DRIZZLING, DANCING RAIN

The rain drizzling through the black clouds

Comes down through the silver thread from heaven

Quench the thirst of Earth,

Shower cool life on every living being

Rain the elixir of life

The goose bump of the greenery

Much awaited Hornbill Suckles

The first rain drop;

Like the newborn suckles its mother's breast

The seed opens its wondered eyes to the new world

The rain nurture it with its cold touch

The black rain dances,

On the bend head of the foliage

Banyan tree shakes away all its weary, dreary summer

And wakes from the slumber

When the rain sprinkles on its face

The rain licks the smell of the earth

Akin the smell of the lovers

Cold shivering rain shatters on the roof

Rattles the old couple

But the warmth of the cool rain,

Creep in their memory, full of dream and comfort

Did the rain weep like Cressida?

For her Trojan hero in remorse

Washed away all the filth from the earth

But the cold rain pooled in my mind

Wet rain stick my dress on my skin

And wriggles its cold touch

The sun smiles through the rain

Like a baby smiles while it weeps

Rain, my cold rain, drizzling from heaven

Relievo the earth into heaven
